Meet Our Team

In addition to elders, the New Testament also names a second office in the church: deacons. The word deacon literally means "servant," and that's exactly what these men and women do. Most scholars understand Acts 6:1-7 as the foundational text for this office. The qualifications for deacons are listed in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. Deacons at The Bridge are appointed by the elders to serve the body in various ways.
